Children are deemed as the most vulnerable members of the society primarily because their environment easily influences them. It would be much easier to influence a child into engaging in a certain activity than would be the case with an adult. Consequently, sociology scholars have often insisted on ensuring that children grow up in an ideal environment, in which case they would be in a position to experience the necessary stability for appropriate growth. However, the situations in which the parents operate always determine the level of stability and influence on the children, in which case it would also influence their mentality. Therefore, it would be important to ensure that the child’s environment is appropriate enough for the child’s well-being, or otherwise risk the development of a negative mentality in the said children.
