Cow Protection
Cow protection is the prohibition of slaughtering or killing cattle, that is, the entire Bos indicus species. In India, cow protection would be defined as a way of protecting lives that are weak or helpless. The fundamental reason behind cow protection is the cattle’s religious status as an adored and highly cherished living being to Jainism, Hinduism and Sikhism. Due to the cow protection, cattle’s slaughter is banned and highly condemned as a result of several reasons such as beliefs associated with god Krishna in Hinduism, cattle being endeared as a central part of livelihoods in countryside settings as well as a vital economic inevitability.
