The healthcare is one of the most important sectors in the society due to its role of fulfilling a priority need to every individual. Being in a healthy state of body and mind gives people a certain comfort that can be reflected in all day to day activities. However, due to the tough economic times in the 21st Century, the increased cost of basic needs has become a challenge to an extent that a large portion of the population is in great medical needs and unable to raise money for the bills. Research conducted in 2013 stated that about 56 million people in America were struggling to cater for their healthcare costs due to financial shortages. That means that one in every five American adults fell in this category and hence making them vulnerable to suffering or loss of lives. A majority of households in the American society receives a salary range of $60,000 in a year which makes it difficult for them to comfortably cover for their health needs of around $5,000 to $10,000 (Gao & Zhou, 2007).
