  • Examine the nature and scope of waste generators in the context of proper identification and management of hazardous wastes as established by RCRA.

International law has a greater impact in the contemporary world than it did in the past. Distinguish the traditional definition of international law with the emerging aspect of trans-governmental approach to contemporary international law. Compare international environmental laws with U.S. environmental laws.

Based on the above information, answer the following:

  • Analyze which of these is more effective: traditional or contemporary international law. Provide reasons to support your answer.
  • In addition, identify the reasons why the U.S. has consistently refused to sign international environmental policy agreements such as the Kyoto Protocols and the United Nations agreement regarding the emission of greenhouse gases.
