Grant Writing Basics Unit 2 IP

Grant writing refers to the process in which an organization completes the application processes that need to be undertaken for a given grant to be issued by a government institution, corporation, trust or foundation (Legaspi, 2014). On other occasions, the process is referred to as grant submission or grant proposal. There are several types of grants that an institution may pursue across the different fields that exist within the country. Some of the major types of grants are discussed in this paper and their purposes.

The first type of grant is known as a block grant. These are grants that are given by the national government through the state and local officers.
