How does a health care organization implement a strategic plan? What guidelines should be followed?
Implementation is a critical phase in the strategic planning process and involves turning the specific plans and strategies into actions in order to achieve the desired goals and objectives. In the healthcare organizations, it consists in putting the strategic plans into actions for efficient serve delivery. For the successful implementation in the healthcare organizations, there are several things that must be done.
The first thing is the ownership of the plan by all the stakeholders in the healthcare organization. The stakeholders, who range from the executive sponsors to the grounds cleaner, must recognize and acknowledge the strategic plan as their own for it to be successful (Ginter, 2018). Secondly, the plans must be effectively communicated at all levels.
