Education has always played a critical role in society by helping understand issues that people would otherwise be ignorant of were it not for the extensive efforts by researchers and educators to develop curriculum addressing these issues. In particular, there is always an extensive effort from different sectors of an economy to ensure that the curriculum used in the education process is good enough in meeting the needs of the society. This explains the extensive attention paid to policies such as minimum hours of physical education in different states that eek to address the prevalence of obesity as an issue among children in the state. Far from such health issues, education has been integral to addressing issues related to social justice, albeit facing a myriad of challenges that adversely influence the ability of different courses to achieve their role in advancing the society
