Coding requires that any coder understands the terminologies used within a particular field, failure to which it would be difficult for the individual to develop an ideal program. In essence, responses are always dependent on the commands are given to the computer, in which case they may at times include jargon based on the market in question. For instance, health-related programs may have use of terminology which would be unknown to professionals within the marketing department. The American Medical Association is one of the possible resources that a coder could use to access the information necessary for application in the coding process.
