Your annotation should be one to two paragraphs long (150 words or more) and fully address the purpose, content, evidence, and relation to other sources you found on this topic. hi here is the topics. its the entire discussion post. this should help!

Describe effective methods you used in identifying and narrowing down to just one of the two topics to further research for your final essay.

Global societal issues refer to the problems and challenges that affect each member of the society worldwide. Some of these issues include adult illiteracy and minimum wage. Adult illiteracy is global problem which involves adults acquiring minimal skills that are required in day to day activities, and interaction with the environment. Minimum wage involves the minimum amount that the employers are supposed to pay.

There are various methods which can be used to identify the global social issues. One of the effective methods of identifying the rate of adult illiteracy worldwide is making use of reports and evaluations. Evaluations involve examining the members of the society to come up with an accurate number of the individuals who do not have knowledge and skills acquired through the learning process and take necessary measures to ensure that all the individuals acquire these skills (Anderson et al.n.p).

Explain three ways you can critically analyze sources to determine if they are scholarly and credible.

There are ways in which sources can be analyzed to determine whether they are scholarly and credible. Some of the ways include; analyzing whether the source is timely and fit for its field, identifying whether the author’s name is provided and looking at the publisher of the source.

For one of the topics chosen, summarize information from at least two peer-reviewed journal articles from the Ashford University Library that will support your claims.

Peer review involves scrutiny of the source by the board of colleagues in the field of authors. The peer-reviewed journal by Watkins talks of the health interventions by the health sector to educate the adults on issues dealing with health (Watkins et al.n.p). The peer review journal by Diviani talks about the low health literacy among the adults in the society (Diviani et al.n. p).

Explain why scholarly sources should be used to support your writing on the selected topic.

Scholarly sources provide authority and credibility which helps in improving the quality of the research carried out by an individual.

Minimum wage is referred to the least amount of money that an employee should be paid hourly. The introduction of minimum wages may have worked while the concept was still new as it was designed to offer economic fairness to all in that it prevented employees from being overly exploited. However, with time several issues have arisen in regards to minimum wages, and there have been many people pushing for its increment. When the minimum wage was introduced, it was more of an economic and moral issue which was pushed for in the New Deal.
