Almost half of the world’s population lives in poverty. Poverty refers to a state of lack where individuals cannot afford most of the material possession. The concept is multifaceted and may include social, economic, political and environmental elements that affect human life. Poor people lack access to essential amenities including health which increases their mortality. Similarly, the poor lack basic knowledge regarding business management and sources of funding. Businesses are affected by political violence, bad debts, and harsh weather conditions.
