Working as a psychology professional is a fulfilling job as I get to help clients facing emotional and psychological problems to better deal with their issues. It is however challenging as the different patients possess diverse health behavior aspects which are not healthy even for me. A psychologist is prone to traumatization from engaging with clients going through problems like sexual harassment, drug addiction and depression (Bach & Demuth, 2018). Emotional attachment to work-related issues is the most significant problem I have to deal with as people share some disturbing information during sessions which is not easy to handle. I once engaged with a client dealing with depression from an abusive marriage and later on drug addiction. She was affected by all these events to the point that she could not even understand herself and had issues making social relations with other people.
