Solution Preview
Through the course, I came across several concepts and theories that explored culture and intercultural relations. Over time, I engaged with ideas that changed my idea of culture within the local and international contexts. Primarily, I have learnt that further than valuing other cultures, we should work out a way of solving some of the problems such as stereotypes, discrimination, cultural appropriation and other aspects that promote otherness or marginalization. Additionally, I have changed my idea of diversity to understand it in terms of the several dimensions of which I can apply in social contexts. As such there is much more to be done after learning the course including promotion of an improved society through the application of cultural competence and promoting interaction and coexistence through education and career.
