Kevin Kelly’s Ted talk is indeed a fantastic insight. I noted that Kelly calls the Internet, at its current state, an equivalent of the human brain, only that the web will gradually expand. I do not think the internet is anywhere close to being like the human being. For instance, Kelly equates the 100 billion neurons in a human brain to the numerous transistors in The Machine; neurons and transistors are disproportionately incomparable since in reality, a neuron can do way more than a transistor, and neurons are far much better connected.
