Emergency Management
As we are seeing with the COVID-19 pandemic, emergency management is involved in a wide variety of hazards, some of which may not appear frequently but, none-the-less, require specific attention. With that thought in mind, one aspect of the current pandemic is how hurricane response, and specifically, how evacuation/sheltering will be affected. After reading, at a minimum, the assigned pages of the Florida Pre-landfall Tropical Weather / COVID-19 Co-Response Guidance (and making use of the entire document), in an APA formatted paper, identify and fully explain five (5) impacts of COVID-19 on hurricane planning and response operations, making sure to cover the guidance Florida Division of Emergency Management is providing to counties on how to address such impacts.
