mass wasting

Using your textbook and the library or internet resources, research one of the many varieties of mass wasting. Explain how it works, what type of material is involved, and that type of movement. What regions might we find this type of mass wasting? Provide a real life example of an event of this type. Once again, make sure that you come up with an example that has not been discussed already.

Mass wasting or in other words slope or mass movement is the abundant downward movement of soil, rock, and waste as a result of gravity force. Mass wasting is an erosion type where the outer crust of the earth is decaying at a large extent dropping to a lower height. The elevation angle of a slope determines the downward movement speed. The steeper the hill, the more the acceleration. Water can also be a great contributor to mass wasting.
