Question 1

The recognized eras when it comes to American policing are three. The eras will include the Community era, Political and Reform era and each of the ages will have their weaknesses as well as their strengths. The reform era of the American policing focuses on the years which fall between 1930 and 1980. This era involved the establishment of centralized police departments and the crime control model. The relationship which existed between the law enforcement officers and the community was distant since the officers were quite professional as well as non-approachable (Stevens, 2017).
