Observe parents (with their child(ren)) in their natural habitat. Find several different configurations of parents…at the mall, grocery store, park, school, or wherever you can find some. Observe their social interactions with each other and with the other people around them, the language they use, child(ren) and parent(s) approximate age, gender and ethnicity, and the activities they are doing. How are the various parent-child configurations you observe the same and how are they different?
