A renewable energy source is a source of energy that occurs naturally. Examples of such power are the energy from the sun, from the wind, hydroelectric action and also geothermal energy. Since these energies occur naturally, therefore, they can be renewed. In this classification, we find that biomass is also classified in this category (Boyle, 2004).
