Normal (it is a discussion)

How do you define “normal”? How do you personally determine when someone’s behavior is “abnormal”? Give some examples.

Does your definition include consideration of: social norms/deviancy?

Danger (to self or others)?

Whether the behavior is adaptive/effective/appropriate or not?

Whether or not the person feels distress?

How did you arrive at your definition?

Normal is an English term which is used to portray a scenario where expected periodical occurrences take place without deviation. Normal behavior is character displayed by a person or people which is in line with what is likely that a person should do if subjected to particular or a combination of certain conditions.

A person’s behavior is termed abnormal depending on the view of approaching the observer decides to take. The first view is when the expression of a person is statistically unusual in a specific population. The second view is when the behavior of a person violates the standards which are accepted socially.
