Observation Assignment
Students will be required to conduct an observation of ONE site on a college/university campus where students frequently gather. While taking detailed notes, please use and address the “List of Items of Interest” (e.g., physical setting, participants, activities, interactions, etc.)

3 PAGES/ADD TITLE PAGE AND REFERENCE PAGE /APA FORMAT
At a minimum, your paper should:
1) begin with details on the physical setting,
2) observations of students and student interactions in the setting, and
3) a summation of your analysis and interpretation of your observations in the setting.
The paper should be written in first-person and detail your reflections on what you observed.

The Virginia College Student Hub
Student hubs are meant to help students to learn about the social and academic aspects of the higher learning institutions they are pursuing their courses. For this reason, the Virginia College student hub is set in a manner that allows students to get any information they need. At the entrance of the hub, there is an information desk, which has two persons managing it. Students visiting the hub for the first time are required to ask for directions or any information at the desk. Also, the information desk contains data on the services offered by the different offices located in the building. Thus, a person learns about the hub through either talking to the persons managing the information desk or reading the directions.
