Segmentation in the Grocery Store

The stores that I visited were Aldi and Wal-Mart. Each of the stores had a distinct manner in which products were presented at the various shelves. Wal-Mart had a full assortment with products from many suppliers stacked together. Such a display offers the consumer a wide variety of products to choose from. The product category that I delved into was crackers. I was even confused at picking a product in the Wal-Mart store due to the many suppliers that provided the crackers. On the other hand, Aldi had a limited assortment with a buyer able to clearly identify which crackers were displayed at the counters.
