Indeed, terrorism is an issue for the contemporary society, particularly due to the international impact it has on the welfare of the different community. It gets worse when a state is involved in support of terror activities since international agencies may not interfere with such sovereignty for the purpose of addressing the situation therein. One of the most significant reasons why some governments opt to ignore terrorist activities within their borders lies in the impact of the terrorist groups on the welfare of the country in question. To some governments, as long as the terrorist activities serve the interests of the government, then the government opts to steer clear of the said activities and avoid confrontation with the terror group (Byman & Kreps, 2010). However, the terrorist groups eventually morph into something greater that threatens the government activities in protecting the citizens therein.
