Stereotyping

Stereotyping is when someone judges another person who is different from them, established on their own perspectives about something. Sexual orientation, religion, race and physical capability of doing things, are some of the classifications in which stereotyping may exist. Most People find their concepts about something very instinctive, hence very easy to prejudice, (Cunningham & Macrae, 2011). Culture also plays a major role in stereotyping. For instance, in the case of racism, children find well-established stereotypes by the time they are growing up. In addition, these children are never in a position to accept or reject these perceptions since they are obtained before they are old enough to have experiences in life and have their own opinion.
