Question 3: According to the outline created on Question 2, research a career that works with trauma survivors and/or provides crisis intervention. Some examples of specific careers you may pick from include:
Crisis response team worker, first responders (law enforcement, firefighters, EMS), medical professionals, mental health counselors, social workers, social services and Child Protective Services, hospital staff, insurance companies, and state mental health providers, crisis counselor/therapist, emergency services, and mobile crisis worker.
Discuss the professional roles and responsibilities of the job. Outline the educational background, certifications, and professional training necessary to work in that job. Discuss what you think may be some potential advantages and disadvantages of working in that career. Research and discuss methods professionals in that career use to care for themselves in their work. Provide your reflections and reactions to your findings and how you may use this information in your future personal and/or professional roles. Your writing should be informed by professional journal articles.
Utilize APA 7th edition style and format for your paper, provide citations, and list of references in citing any sources used in your writing. Double space, times new roman font size 12, should be between 3 to 5 written pages in length (this does not include title page or references page). You may use as many sources as you would like to but your project should include at least three citations of peer-reviewed articles. You are not required to include an abstract in your paper.
