Social systems in India have long been subject to discussion, with different critics highlighting the impact of the segregation resulting from the system on the welfare of the people in the society (Srinivasan, Dunham, Hicks, & Barner, 2015). Essentially, the caste system divided people into social classes, which were the distinct determinants of the access to resources and the position taken by the individuals within the society. Consequently, the system is a form of social structure that tends to limit people to a various position on the social strata depending on their achievements.
