The 2016 presidential election has been termed by many pundits as one of the most polarizing elections in the United States recent history. As a Democrat, I actively participated in the elections as the experiences in the run-up to the elections had made me highly active in political issues. Essentially, there was so much information and discussions on the ideal candidate in different forums, to the extent that some class discussions even shifted to include people voicing their opinions on their preferred candidate. Essentially, the elections of 2016 helped more people understand politics primarily due to the extreme nature of the discussions posed by the two candidates. I am highly opposed to any measures that limit people’s freedoms and ability to interact with others freely, which I believe makes me a liberal democrat,
