Abstract

With the need to safeguard classified Big Data from proposed and ongoing government projects, information management is very vital. As such, information security comes in handy where the information as to be kept limited from unauthorized persons. For that sake, a research study has been conducted on an organization, unnamed for the sake of anonymity. The anatomy of information security has been reviewed especially with records inventory. This paper also looks on the measures taken to protect information stored in information systems of organizations holding critical Big Data using an official survey on an organization which manages the critical data of the government and the projects relevant therein. As such, this paper analyzes the phenomena of a corporate government which has ample information to keep as top – secret for the sake of anonymity and the sensitivity of the Big Data.

Introduction

A quick overview on information governance is the fact that data is being generated every day due to the massive rise in many organizations worldwide. This information is spawn from the diverse projects conducted by organizations worldwide. With the imperative need to safeguard corporate information and records, the need for security rises with the sensitivity of the data recorded.
