By increasing your understanding of theories that attempt to describe how your brain works, it is helpful to consider what you were born with and how your world has shaped you. You are, after all, not just a product of our brains and our bodies. In this Discussion Board, you will delve deeper into how your thinking and behavior is impacted by nature and nurture influences.

I grew up in deaf school and ended up in public school and graduated in public school so I was exposed to both world.

  • Explain what genes are, and how behavioral geneticists explain our human differences.
  • Discuss the impact of heredity (nature) and environment (nurture) on a person.
  • Describe how evolutionary psychologists use natural selection to explain behavior tendencies. Do you agree with this? Why or why not?
