I agree with the need for the United States to increase its bilateral aid to Africa. Notably, the country has played a critical role in the world economy, intervening in cases of crisis and helping governments and communities restore democracy in cases where the governments have appeared to act against the will of the people. For instance, the American involvement in Syria has been an effort to help restore peace by addressing the civil strife experienced therein.
