Every organization needs to maintain a record of its available stock to ensure adequate supply whenever consumers make their order. The management of its inventory ensures such success, and is based on different processes. The engineer to order process structure is applicable whenever the business in question is responsible for the manufacture of the goods the consumers ask for. In this case, the company would be responsible for turning raw materials into finished products in which the inventories kept would include raw materials and work in progress inventories. With these two, it would be possible to ensure a steady flow of the finished goods to the extent that consumers do not make a request only to find that the company has no finished products at a particular time.
