The Japanese culture is considered to be one of the most influential in the world. During the 19th and 20th century, the culture spread to various destinations across the world and helped shape world history. Japanese culture like other cultures of the world has over time been influenced by other cultures while at the same time influencing others across the region. Japanese culture can be said to have been greatly influenced by Chinese culture centuries ago. This is mainly because China was a regional powerhouse that dictated various aspects of religion, culture, norms, and philosophy in the region. Japanese culture first absorbed elements of Chinese culture from Korea and later from Sui and Tang dynasties in China.
