The Other Wes Moore
For this assignment you need to write a two page reaction paper to the book. The Other Wes Moore
“The other Wes Moore” is a book by Wes Moore that tells a story of two boys and how their lives turned out differently even though they had the same name and grew up in the same neighborhood of Baltimore. The story reveals that the two boys grew up in similar backgrounds that were poverty-stricken but they both had different fates; one was charged with murder and sentenced to life imprisonment while the other grew up to be a successful person and the author of this book. Wes Moore the author witnessed his father’s death when he was young due to lack of hospital care. His family lived in hardships and because of the bad influence of other friends; his mother took him to a military academy. Meanwhile, the other Wes Moore also grew up without a father, and in similar situations, but his quest to make money in a poverty-stricken neighborhood caused him to engage in drugs and always breaking the law.
