BLACK THEOLOGY
Several groups in the United States have been struggling for recognition as equal citizens with the Americans. Even though each of these groups’ efforts has been noticed and essential, possibly the elongated and most vicious fight was that of the African American. The group had once a lower legal standing that saw it written in the American constitution. African American struggle for equality and recognition gave a moral basis for other groups to seek recognition later on (Hopkins, 2005). The social options that the African American in their effort to be assimilated in the American culture were cultural intermarriages, language, gaining an education, and through religion.
