TRAINING SALES PERSONNEL

TRAINING SALES PERSONNEL

Different groups think and learn differently. For example, some artists are more liberal and tend to respond better to creativity. Executives are more concerned with how the learning relates to the bottom line. Some say there are differences with how men and women learn.

Begin by choosing a particular group of adult learners for your project that you know needs training in something. You will work with this group of learners for the rest of your project deliverables, so choose wisely. Be sure to choose a group that you are very familiar with (for example, sales staff, administrative staff, executives, artists, engineers, nurses, or volunteers).

To complete this assignment, develop a minimum of 3 pages that respond to the bullet points below. You are not required to use sources, but if you do, be sure to acknowledge them in appropriate APA format.

  • Summarize your understanding of the group and how you are familiar with them. Why did you select this group?
  • What is it that this group needs to be trained on? Give as much detail as you can. Why do they need this training? Is there any current training? If so, how is it deficient?
  • How would you teach this group differently than other types of groups?

Be sure to write with conviction – remember that you are the expert!
