The American Revolution that began in 1775 was an open conflict between Great Britain and the United States third colonies.[1] Notably, different factors played a role in the desire by the colonists to fight for their freedom. The different issues led to both the war and wrought the foundation of the United States of America. Despite this, no single event can be attributed to the advent of the American Revolution. Instead, it was a series of events that led to its onset. Most importantly, the revolution was influenced by the disagreements between the colonists and the parliamentary controls.[2] The colonists were bothered with the way that Great Britain treated the colonies like the currency acts of 1771 that imposed taxes on them without their consent. This was in contrast with the way the colonies thought they ought to have been treated as they were being taxed for things that they always had for free.[3]
