The Causes of the Civil War
Introduction
The American Civil War took place between 12 April 1861 and 13 May 1865 and was fought in the United States. The war pitied the northern and southern states and was driven by the political, cultural, and economic differences between the two regions. The two areas developed along varying lines, with the north becoming industrialized whereas the south relied on an agrarian economy. These variations led to different political and cultural belief developing in the two regions, thereby making it difficult for them to have same views on various, which affected the nation. Thus, the differences led to disagreements on the slavery issue, the rights of states, and taxes, thereby facilitating the outbreak of the war.
