Solution Preview

Thomas Jefferson, the third president of America, was a prominent figure in the country’s early development. Having served in the continental congress and Virginia legislature during the revolutionary war, Jefferson rose to the ranks of the American government as the U.S secretary of state and minister to France.[1] Besides, Jefferson served as a vice president under John Adams tenure before becoming the United States third president in 1800. As the president, Jefferson endorsed individual liberty but was heavily criticized by being a slave owner. Despite his shortfalls, Jefferson is regarded as a great president as he defended not only the true principles of the American Constitution but also the civil and economic liberties that the Americans fought in the revolutionary war. There was so much that Jefferson would have done or expected to do as the United States president, however, he deserves to be ranked as one of the greatest American Presidents.
