Strategic planning is an activity which requires a step by step approach to ensure a successful operation. The first stage is to identify the mission, vision, and values of the health organization as they guide the management towards engaging in activities that only aim for the best. The second step is formularization of the strategy which involves analyzing all the stakeholders in the internal and external environments of the HO to ensure their comfort (Perera & Peiró, 2012). It also involves the SWOT analysis to establish the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities that the organization faces.
