A commission refers to a situation where an artist gets paid to come up or create art. The artwork of the artist may be commissioned by private persons, the government or even businesses. Patronage refers to support, inspiration, treat or financial help that an organization or a person gives to another.
The decorative arts refer to the works that bring together an artistic sense as well as a functional sense on a decorative object.
