Task 1
The video involves Malala, a sixteen year old girl, who survived from the Taliban attack on the 9th Oct 2012. Malala was shot on the right side of her forehead and was among the few who survived the attack. She now addresses the UN concerning the right of education for all and expresses her regained strength from the traumatizing experience. She states that even with the pain she went through during the attack, she does not hold any hatred for the people who attacked them. The main message is forgiveness and peace with everyone even those who wronged them (ABC News, 2013). She continues to insist that the attackers are afraid of change, equality and education of women. The Taliban’s are against education as they are conservative and tarnishing the Islamic name just for the sake of their own personal desires. Final remarks are that terrorism is a personal and backward choice that does not involve a certain religion as Islam insists on peace and love for all.
