Introduction

The American Health System has its constraints as far as success and sustainability factors are concerned. The Affordable Care Act of 2010 proposed strategies for major reforms that range from payment for care to organization of the same, from prevention to public health, and efforts towards continuous improvement of health. Sadly, the ACA has been heavily politicized to a point of incurable controversy and legal injunctions.

A successful health system as described by Shattuck has three attributes. First, healthy population, this means that the citizens are able to attain the highest level of personal health.
