Constitution of Japan

The events of the Second World War had serious ramifications on the Japanese society. In particular, the outcome therein influenced the American ability to invade and consequently influence the reform agenda in the country, key among the subjects of reform being the creation of a Japanese constitution (Shoichi, 2018). Ultimately, with the aid of the American government, the Japanese leaders adopted its first constitution in 1947, key among which was a declaration that the country would not entertain war as a conflict resolution approach with other states.
