“What Work Is” Essay first draft
For this assignment, id prefer if you’ve read or will read the poem “What Work Is” by Phillip Levine (https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/52173/what-…). By answering the question: What is work, according to Levine, you must write a new thesis. Based on the thesis, you must write the first draft of the essay, which I will leave instructions for in the attachments below. I have done an outline to the essay, but it is not very strong. The industrial revolution was marked with a high demand for labor brought about by the increasing number of industrial companies and businesses. Following the high demand for human resources, the perks of the poor working condition were observed as evidenced in the poem ‘What Work Is’ by Phillip Levine. The issue of poor working conditions was most prevalent in this era, especially for casual laborers who composed the low class in the society. This essay seeks to analyze the poor working conditions of casual laborers and the impacts these conditions had on the workers personal lives in this case family relationships.
