The day thieves broke in our home

It was late at night and everyone in the house was fast asleep as it had been a busy day for all of us. I was awakened by a loud bang on my bedroom’s door. I woke up very fast, but extremely irritated as I thought it was already in the morning and my parents were waking me up for school. They used to bang heavily at my door whenever I did not respond their knocks on the door or my alarm.
