The acquisition process by the Department of Defense is one of the main three procurement processes. The other two processes include requirements and funding. All these three processes come up together with the Defense Acquisition System. The process of acquisition has a process which it follows and is governed by instructions which provide principles and policies. This in return governs the defense acquisition system as well as forming the foundation of management for all the programs of Department of Defense.
