Varsity Blues

There have been many educational films that have been produced and have impacted people differently. One of these films that were produced in nineteen ninety-nine was known as Varsity Blues. This film was a sports film and is one of the best-known films in today’s world. This movie was directed by Brian Robbins and stars James Van Der Beek as the main character. It is classified as a comedy-drama-sports film. The film is about a small town and some football players who have an overbearing coach and are still challenged by their adolescent stage. It is basically about high school football (Alexander, et al. 1990). Furthermore, these players must also deal with the challenge of a football-obsessed community. In their community or rather in Texas, football was a way of life and losing was not considered an option. This paper will help us understand more about Varsity Blues and issues that relate to them in terms of sociological theories.
