Justice and Fortitude in Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird”

In Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird,” the justice and fortitude are some of the main themes. Lee shows that there was no justice to members of minority communities that lived in Maycomb. Despite the unfair treatment that African Americans experienced in the town, Atticus Finch worked hard to ensure that they received justice. On a surface level, Atticus is a defense attorney, so he had the duty of defending his clients from accusations to ensure that justice prevailed in all court proceedings.
