  1. Now that you have been introduced to quantitative and qualitative research, which type of research seems more appealing to you? Quantitative or qualitative? Why? I want you to give as many reasons and examples as you can. I do not want to see a 2 sentence response.
  2. You are asked to conduct an observational study on behalf of pedestrians at pedestrian crossings. Choose a busy street with a pedestrian crossing in your area. Observe and take notes of how pedestrians behave at this crossing for 30 minutes. Take notes and provide a report on pedestrian behavior for the class to see.

I find qualitative research more appealing.  Particularly, I like the exploratory nature of qualitative research where the researcher starts his/her research at a point where he/she does not know what to expect of the results concerning the subject under research…
